In his second year with the program, Adam DeMong is one of Ohio's two graduate assistants along with Adam Griggs.

DeMong originally filled the graduate assistant position during the 2004-05 seson and was responsible for film exchange, team travel and on-campus recruiting. He also supervised the managerial staff and assisted with scouting.

DeMong was hired to the position of assistant coach in the staff reorganization caused by Kevin Kuwik's recall by the Army to active duty status in the fall of 2004. Upon Kuwik's return in December, 2005, DeMong returned to his prior position of graduate assistant.

DeMong earned a walk-on spot at Boston College during his sophomore year and later was placed on scholarship. Tim O'Shea served as an assistant coach for the Eagles during DeMong's initial campaign with the Eagles before leaving for Ohio.

During DeMong's tenure at BC, the Eagles posted an overall record of 66-19. They went 27-5 during his sophomore campaign, winning both the Big East East Division regular-season title as well as the conference tournament. Seeded third in the NCAA Tournament, BC was upset in the second round by USC. DeMong was also a member of the 2001-02 team that received an NCAA Tournament bid and the 2002-03 squad that made an NIT appearance.

DeMong, 24, is pursuing an MSA at Ohio. He earned a business degree with concentrations in marketing and finance from Boston College in 2003 and a MBA from Ohio in 2005.
