INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-The Ohio women's golf squad finished sixth at the MAC Championship Sunday, which was played at the Brickyard Crossing course in Indianapolis, Ind.

 

The Bobcats shot their best round of the tournament with a 315 Sunday and finished with a four-round total of 1297 (+145, 326-325-321-315). Kent State won the championship with a 25-over total of 1177 (297-297-303-280).

 

Sophomore Lauren Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio) became the fourth different Bobcat to record the team's best individual round during the course of the tournament with a 77 Sunday to finish with a total of 338 (83-90-88-77). Freshman Erin Cahill (Hilliard, Ohio) was Ohio's top finisher with a total of 320 (81-78-80-81), while sophomore Colleen Lienesch (Centerville, Ohio) finished two shots behind her at 322 (80-84-80-78). Senior Katie Stafford (Phoenix, Az.) posted a total of 328 (82-83-84-79) and junior Lindsay Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio) came in with a 333 (83-90-88-77).


 

 

 

Kent State's Kirby Dreher won the overall individual title with a three-over total of 291 (74-74-74-69). All five Golden Flashes finished in the top seven spots in the individual standings.
